Go Inside Silhouette, the Woman-Owned Sneaker Shop in Tulsa’s Historic ‘Black Wall Street’ District

Our latest “Open the Box” episode features a very special and important shop called Silhouette. The sneaker boutique/art gallery is located in Tulsa’s iconic and historic Greenwood colony, which was popularly known as America’s Black Wall Street until the Tulsa race massacre of 1921. Venita Cooper, also known as “Coop,” opened up Silhouette to provide a rotating art exhibit and sneaker shop with a focus on street culture, black culture and sneaker culture for the community.
