Instagram Adds “Face Filters” in its Newest Update
What else will we continue to see implemented into Instagram Stories?
Instagram has launched an update to its ‘Stories’ feature that will now include Snapchat-like “Face” filters.
Available now on iOS and Android, these filters are “an easy way to turn an ordinary selfie into something fun and entertaining,” the company says. Not only do they work with a photo or video, they also work with the IG’s Boomerang tool – something that is unique to Instagram.
Along with flower crowns and koala ears, the photo sharing app has also added a “Reverse” feature to its videos, so now you can turn yourself into a Jedi picking up things from the ground without even bending down.
You can also now add “hashtag stickers” to your stories to “add more context to your story”. With these stickers, those who view your story can tap the hashtag and visit the hashtag page to explore related content from other Instagram users.
Finally, IG has added the eraser brush to go along with other drawing tools. With it, you can remove segments of your post to creatively reveal some aspect of it.
