The life of a broadcast journalist can have its pros and cons.
Pros: you’re on television, all eyes are always on you, you’re dressed nice, you have scripts to read from, you’re interacting with your audience every single day. Cons: what you’re broadcasting could be a dangerous, life-or-death situation, could be life or death. That was the case for TV3’s Irish weatherman Deric Hartigan. During a routine weather report, Hartigan was blown away with his umbrella by a strong gust of wind. His in-studio cohorts at the studio couldn’t do much but laugh at the situation. Moments later, Hartigan comes back on screen and shakes off the embarrassment.

Now while it wasn’t a dangerous situation, Hartigan could only laugh at himself and has since taken to Twitter to share some of the memorable responses he has received for his video.
