How To Watch the Presidential Inauguration from Your Workspace

Jon Zmikly Jan 18

In just two days, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. For some, it will be a bitter day. For others, sweet. But as political leaders gear up for a peaceful transition of power on Friday’s Inauguration Day, all of the world will be waiting with bated breath to see Trumps’ first few hours in office.

No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, the day is sure to be one for the books. With the official ceremony beginning at 9:30 a.m., events will range from remarks from America’s top-ranking officials to performances by a variety of invited guests, not to mention the attendance of Hillary Clinton and former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter.

While television and radio stations will be broadcasting the event, the Internet will also be providing hours of coverage as well, so you can tune in during the day without missing a minute of your day. Here are a few of the easiest ways to watch the digital streams:

YouTube

YouTube

Like the Presidential election coverage in November, YouTube will be live-streaming the events straight from its website and app. You can watch the same YouTube coverage on any of the following channels:

Twitter

Twitter

If you’re looking for more of a social connection to the streaming, Twitter will also be live from its app and website. They will be teaming up with PBS to deliver coverage throughout the day. The Twitter comments alone would be worth watching, if not the ceremony.

Websites

A variety of organizations and companies will be streaming straight from their websites.

Facebook Live

If the whole idea of Trump’s Presidency makes you want to crawl into a dark hole and forget about the world, there’s even a stream for that. Several celebrities announced they would be gathering at 12:30 p.m. (EST) for a Facebook Live Stream “Love-A-Thon” aimed to raising money for organizations focused on civil rights, climate change and women’s reproductive rights — all topics President-elect Donald Trump pressed hard against during his presidential campaign.
