Warner Bros. is Giving Their Movies the VR Treatment

Virtual reality has become one of the latest new tech experiences, it was only a matter of time before a big studio like Warner bros. used it to their advantage.

IMAX and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will co-produce interactive VR experiences based on the upcoming movies ‘Justice League’ and ‘Aquaman’. The studios also plan to release a third VR production together.

The first project they plan to tackle is Justice League VR, which is scheduled for release later this year. No official date has been given, but it’s safe to assume it’ll be around the same time the film opens.

The second project will be Aquaman VR. This will be perfect for VR because it will allow fans to fully immerse themselves in the underwater kingdom and see how the legendary Aquaman lives.

The experiences will be exclusively viewed at Imax VR centers before they’re available everywhere. If this is successful, we should see more studios start using VR to promote their upcoming projects.

What do you think about Warner Bros. using VR? Will you test out their VR experience? Let us know in the comments below.

Justice League starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, J.K. Simmons, Amber Heard and Henry Cavill, hits theaters Nov. 17.

Momoa, Heard, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe star in Aquaman when it crashes into theaters December 21, 2018.
