The new podcasts, “Showstopper,” “Unpacked” and “The Chris Lighty Story,” all fall in line with the site’s desire to deliver original content to their listeners. “Showstopper,” which premiered back on February 23rd, will take listeners behind the scenes, as The Fader’s Naomi Zeichner talks with the people in charge of deciding what music goes into your favorite television shows.

“Unpacked” will showcase a slew of different creatives from all mediums of content. Hosted by Matt FX and Spotify Studios talent manager Michael Santucci, “Unpacked” will set out to bring in a new audience to Spotify.

Lastly, “The Chris Lighty Story” sheds light on the music exec and the work he had done with music heavy hitters, such as Nas, 50 Cent, and Missy Elliot, prior to passing away in 2012. Spotify’s push to deliver new, and original content to its subscribers sets the bar for what’s to come, making them not only a site to go to for music but rather a real player in the content world.
