Snapchat Takes Shots At Instagram on April Fools Day

We’ve all seen how Instagram and Facebook have been blatantly incorporating Snapchat’s unique features into their own apps. Instagram stories, filters, Messenger Day, etc. Snapchat is fed up.
Snapchat is fed up with Facebook and Instagram’s crap and they’ve used April Fool’s Day to launch some hostile shots.
April Fool’s Day is only funny for children under 14 and as adults, we have to deal with dull jokes and businesses pushing even duller PR stunts every April 1.
But Snapchat perfectly executed their April Fool’s Day joke, featuring a new filter that looks a great deal like an Instagram post.
I wasn’t feeling quite photogenic while writing this so with the assistance of some of my sneaker boxes you can see the fake Instagram overlay that includes only three people liking the photo, one of which is “my_mom”, and three laughing emojis. With Instagram hosting an older audience than Snapchat, the mom like definitely pushes the joke even more with the follow up laughing emojis rounding it out.
This isn’t the first time Snapchat has fired shots at Instagram for their copying. Instagram product chief Kevin Weil was on the receiving end of the last shot fired by Tom Conrad, President of Product at Snapchat.
Burn.
So to conclude your lackluster April Fool’s Day, Snapchat copied Instagram to troll Instagram for their copying. Bravo, Snapchat, Bravo.
