Periscope Launches New Form of Payment

In our ever-evolving digital world, life is becoming more and more convenient for tech users and content creators alike. We use our phones to upload pictures, request a ride, or even live stream videos of our daily routine.

In keeping up with the trend, the live streaming app Periscope has made it easier for even the most amateur broadcaster to get paid doing what they love. In a new update “hearts” feature, where Periscope users can “like” a live broadcast, the app has created “Super Hearts” as a way to pay content creators for their videos.

In this video, you get a tutorial of how the “Super Hearts” feature works:

The feature will be a separate mode that viewers can use, and they will be able to use different size “Super Hearts” that each have different values, according to an article published by 9To5Mac. A new leaderboard will also show broadcasters which viewers have donated the most money during the live stream.
