Issa Rae And Jussie Smollett Team Up For New ‘GIANTS’ Web Series

Coming fresh off a Golden Globe nomination for her HBO series, Insecure, Issa Rae is going back to her entertainment roots with a new YouTube series titled Giants. Empire star, Jussie Smollett, along with Rae, will be the executive producers for this series. Giants was created, written and directed by James Bland. The show will be a six-part series with 20-minute episodes.

James Bland says Giants will defy socials norms by exploring “issues that are either ignored or stigmatized by the black community.” He continued, “…regardless of race, these characters’ experiences are relatable to almost anyone because they learn the hard way that when life kicks your a**, you either lie down or fight back.”

The show will debut on January 25th at 8pm EST and will star Vanessa Baden, William Catlett and Bland himself.
