Hulu Debuts New Virtual Reality Series Featuring Lil Wayne

With each passing year, we see more and more advancements in technology from Smartphones to self-operating vacuum cleaners and everything in between. Set out to make life easier and more enjoyable, these breakthroughs in tech continue to push boundaries and question what is off limits. In the past few years, how we watch movies, television and web-based videos has made serious strides. Whether it be the growing number of movies being shown in 3D or the insanely good picture quality you get now, it seems as if the overall of goal is to try and make you feel like you are literally there in the movie or show. So what’s next?

As it turns out, that plan is already very much in place. Hulu, the video subscription based website, just recently rolled out their first virtual reality music show, “On Stage,” featuring none other than the self-proclaimed “Greatest Rapper Alive,” Lil Wayne. Hulu specifically teamed up with Live Nation to bring viewers an introspective look into their favorite stars’ lives, providing viewers with a feeling being right there with them. With Lil Wayne as the focal point of the first episode, you get a chance to see him rolling around LA on his skateboard as well as performing and talking about his connections between skating and music. Alongside the VR release, Hulu gives people a chance to catch some behind-the-scenes footage through the 2D version they released on their site.
