Google Pixel Releases New Star Wars AR Stickers

Back in August, Google announced and revealed the future of augmented reality (AR) by introducing Android users to ARcore in competition with Apple’s ARKit. Flash forward a few months, and Google has rolled out their AR stickers for fans of all ages to enjoy on the Google Pixel 2.
When Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out last week, Google released special Star Wars AR stickers for users and viewers to enjoy. Now users can’t get enough of them, creating memorable videos, memes and gifs.

Users can place a variety of characters such as Storm Troopers, BB-8, porgs, and even pick from a TIE fighter or X-Wing, and add them to their videos or images.
To use the stickers, you’ll need to switch to “AR stickers mode” in your camera settings and place selected stickers into your scene. Characters can be modified, adjusted, and even interact with one another.
As mentioned earlier, fans have taken to social media to use the stickers, and several have gotten creative, while others enjoy adding them to their environment. Take a look at a few below, and let us know what you think of the AR stickers in the comments below!
