Facebook Tests New Pop-Up Window for ‘Comments’ Feature

Facebook is testing a feature that will make other peoples’ posts more accessible. The social media platform will be applying this feature just for its desktop site, by making your friends’ posts as pop ups similar to the instant messaging feature while being able to still view your news feed. There will be options to view the full thread or minimize it at the bottom right corner of the web browser, and there will still be a box for comments.

“We’ve heard from people that they would like an easier way to participate in conversations on a post while they are still in News Feed, so we are testing a new option that opens up a window when someone comments on your post, replies to your comment or tags in a  comment,” said a Facebook spokeswoman to CNET. “You can always hide the conversation or tun off notifications from within the drop down menu of the post.”

The test of this feature most likely will not be available to a number of users just yet, but if the reception of it is successful, then prepare for Facebook to help you keep up with your friends and their posts without missing a beat.
