Facebook to Help You Find WiFi Wherever You Go

Facebook seems to be making some major moves lately. The social media empire, who just recently hit 2 billion users just a week ago, have added a new WiFi feature for everyone.

To access the new WiFi feature, you can simply open up the Facebook app on your cellphone and click the “WiFi tab” to turn it on. Once this is turned on, Facebook will check around you for the nearest WiFi hotspot for you to connect. The key to this, though, is that WiFi hotspots will only show up if the local business has shared information with Facebook and allowed this. This is an opportunity that benefits both Facebook and the local business for obvious reasons.

With an update like this, it can help push businesses towards using social media and reaching out towards customers. While there are many businesses that are not active on social media, they will still have WiFi, as it has essentially become a part of everyday life.
