With the constantly evolving technological world we are currently living in, it’s important for people to keep up and be able to adapt. The most popular sports broadcasting company, ESPN,  is the latest to make those necessary steps.

ESPN began another round of layoffs, this one aimed at on-air personalities.

ESPN President, John Skipper, said in a memo to employees, speaking about the decision to cut 100 staffers: “A necessary component of managing change involves constantly evaluating how we best utilize all of our resources, and that sometimes involves difficult decisions.”

Along with that number, Skipper also mentions that, “A limited number of other positions will also be affected,” which could mean a fresh start and new faces for the company overall.

In a separate post, ESPN highlighted the fact that they know fans’ habits are evolving and that “our focus continues to be providing high-quality, distinctive content at any minute of the day on any screen.”

SportsCenter Anchor John Buccigross was one of the notable ESPN names to be cut, and it has been reported that Karl Ravech, Ryen Russillo and Hannah Storm will see their roles “significantly reduced.”

The network has lost more than 10 million subscribers over the past several years.
