Apple Could Be Releasing A MacBook Air That Won’t Break the Bank

Rikki Yanez Mar 08

If you’re fond of Apple products but not the prices, then you might be in luck. According to 9to5Mac, Apple could be releasing an affordable 13-inch MacBook Air sometime this year along with AirPods and other new products.

Apple analysis expert Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities says he expects that the lower price tag will increase MacBook shipments by 10 to 15 percent. There haven’t been many details about what the new MacBook Air will look like or what features it might have, since Apple hasn’t focused on the MacBook Air line in recent years. However, since the MacBook Air is a popular choice among college students which runs at a starting price of $999. Hopefully a cheaper, yet high-quality laptop, along with its Education Pricing, will bring in more college students.

As always, some people on Twitter are skeptical there will be a significant price reduction, compared to the current 13-inch MacBook Air. Others on the site have tweeted that if it offers 8GB of RAM, Retina display, a new butterfly keyboard and a force touch trackpad, then they will be sold about Apples new product.
