Chandler Parsons and Paul Pierce Recreate Emoji War

Remember two years ago when DeAndre Jordan was one of the biggest NBA free agents? During that time, former Mavericks player Chandler Parsons started an emoji war against then-members of the LA Clippers Blake Griffin, JJ Redick, and Chris Paul.

Jump two years ahead to today’s NBA free agency period, and Parsons and Pierce are back at it again trying to recreate that same war. This time, it stems from the recent Chris Paul trade to the Houston Rockets. Check out some of the tweets that jump-started the conversation.

Other NBA players like Celtics guard Isiah Thomas, Heat center Hassan Whiteside and Jazz center Rudy Gobert decided to get in on the action and persuade free agent Gordon Hayward through creative use of their emojis.

What other players will come out and join in on the emoji war? In the end, it’s all fun and games, but NBA fans feel like they are getting their money’s worth. Check out some of the fan reactions as well.
