Enchroma and the Power Rangers Team Up for Color Blind Awareness

The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers is one of the most iconic superhero series of all time, so when a 2017 reboot was announced it was immediately met with the typical criticism of any film remake, “they better not ruin my childhood.”
The 2017 Power Rangers adaptation will be an ambitious attempt at recapturing the original Mighty Morphin’ phenomenon; however, the Lionsgate marketing team have aimed to touch on all avenues of media to ensure the film receives positive pre-reactions.
The studio has used creative outlets and developed strategic campaigns to market the film from creating a fictional Angel Grove High School newspaper website, letting the film’s antagonist take over the film’s official Twitter account, teaming up the five Rangers with the five members of sports entertainment group, Dude Perfect, for a Epic Relay Challenge, and even developing a “Zords Rising” VR experience with Qualcomm and ReelFX. Do we even have to mention all the toys that are going to come from this film? Even Build-A-Bear is getting in on the action with their own Power Rangers bear.
The studio has also branded two slogans, “Together We Are More,” and “Our World Is Better and Brighter With All the Colors,” putting emphasis on teamwork and including the classic bright and colorful Ranger suits.
The last slogan mentioned ties in with the film’s partnership with Enchroma, an eye-wear company that has created glasses for color blind people that enhance color perception. Enchroma and Lionsgate are teaming up to give select color blind Power Ranger fans a free pair of Enchroma Glasses to raise awareness for color blindness.
