Couple Creates Amazing Wedding Video Using an iPhone

When planning a wedding, there are many parts that go into your special day, from music, to food, to the bride’s dress. The overwhelming amount of details that make this day yours can also make you feel like you’re going to have a breakdown. One of the more important, and sometimes most expensive parts of your wedding day, is capturing it all. Getting the ceremony and reception on video – so you can watch the replay the special day – is almost as routine now as the bride and groom smearing that first piece of cake on each other. But what if you could get the video of your dreams without the camera crew and hefty price tag?
Well, that reality isn’t as farfetched as it may sound; yea, that’s right, for the wedding video of your dreams, all you need is…your iPhone! You’re probably thinking, ‘How can I get an amazing, cinematic wedding video just using my phone?’ With many lens and aftermarket accessories out there for the iPhone, it really is possible to create that perfect visual with the same thing you text your groomsmen from.
In a recent post on Brides, a couple had their entire wedding shot with an iPhone 7. The couple hired a team of videographers, who go by “White in Revery,” that captured the entire wedding just using their iPhone 7 and 7S. With the use of iPhone-specific lenses and other adapters, the team was able to give the couple an amazing wedding video that looks like it was done with a crew of people using big-time equipment. This was the first time “White in Revery” shot a wedding using only phones.
“We are always looking for creative ways to tell a couple’s story,” the Denver-based team shared with BRIDES. “The iPhone 7 pushed us to think outside the box while still maintaining focus on the emotion and story of the couple.”
Could this be the future of wedding video and photography? The thought of being able to achieve the video of your dreams without having to bring a ton of equipment is something many couples would love. The iPhone – and cell phones in general – have helped bridge the gap for many facets of the creative world. Whether it be enabling us to record or capture moments and post them directly to our social media accounts or giving us the freedom to seemingly have a wedding anywhere, it’s clear that these pocket-sized devices are equipped to handle all of the moments that happen in our lives.
