76ers’ Joel Embiid Sets Questionable Location in Post-Game Instagram Pic

We are now almost halfway through what is Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid’s rookie season, and it is safe to say that he is quickly gaining fans in bunches; not only with his stellar on-court play but also with his quick wit and blatant savagery on social media.

Embiid is no stranger to letting the world know exactly how he is feeling via Twitter and Instagram. Whether it be calling out teammates (Ben Simmons) for dodging him in FIFA or his emphatic pursuit of Rihanna, it is clear that Joel has a “process” when it comes to his social media strategy. Now, the Sixers rookie has been having quite the impressive season so far, averaging close to 20 points a game and seven rebounds, all while playing only 25 minutes per contest. Mix that in with his playful, yet charming personality, and you have the perfect makeup for a future superstar.

While Embiid has given us his fair share of gems via his social media accounts, he has had a few questionable moments that have warranted an explanation. Most recently after the Sixers game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Embiid caught some heat from Bucks fans for what appeared to be a little shade thrown at their arena and city. The Geotag on his post-game photo may have come off a bit strong as it read “Sh*thole.”

Now in all fairness, the always entertaining big man did have a response when his mentions became flooded with people calling him out for the tag. Embiid let the people know he was referring to his first half play and even added few emojis in there to reiterate no ill will was meant to be served. Embiid has given the impression that he loves the spotlight and has been handling his business on the floor, enough that he is being talked about seriously in All-Star Game conversations; something that is on his list, as Rihanna told the rookie to come back to her when he was an All-Star. With the future looking bright for the young star, we can only hope the ‘Process’ continues to give the people what they want.
